About Nick Crispell
Growing up building treehouses and other structures, Nick always knew he wanted to be an engineer. Atlanta born and bred, Nick received his MS and BS in Civil & Structural Engineering from Georgia Tech in 2007. After obtaining his engineering training license in 2006 and professional engineering license in 2011 he has worked his way up to become ESOG’s lead engineer in 2017.
In Nick’s role, his day-to-day varies from designing repairs for foundation and framing problems to inspecting residential and commercial structures, to training our production and sales team on how to continue improving their work. Nick has previous experience in structural engineering design and being an on-site engineer, and he shares his expertise with all of our teams. He has participated in structural design using steel hot and cold-formed, wood, concrete, masonry, and building shoring.
Nick’s favorite aspects of working as an engineer on our team is seeing old structures restored, remodeled, and finding creative solutions to our clients’ structural problems. He also enjoys the variety of his work. No repair job or structural build problem is the same, and he uses his quick wit and training to come to permanent structural solutions.
When Nick isn’t heading up our engineering department, you can find him hiking, camping, or backpacking with his wife and 2 huskies.
