The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation’s Ride to Cure Diabetes is a unique and exciting way to fight diabetes while visiting beautiful venues across the country. The Ride program is a national event contributing over $2.9 million to research to find a cure for diabetes. The Georgia Chapter sent 52 cyclists to five different venues in 2007, raising $200,000 for JDRF. More than 80 percent of JDRF’s expenditures directly support research and research-related education. JDRF’s mission is constant: to find a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of research.
Supporting Advancements in Alternative Fuel & Energy Research (S.A.A.F.E.R.) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to funding progressive research in the Alternative Fuel & Energy field. With your contributions, SAAFER is able to award annual program grants to projects focused on providing the public practical and feasible clean energy solutions and/or a reduction in foreign fossil fuel usage.
