What is a Poly Lift System?
A poly lift system is a method of foundation repair in which polyurethane foam is injected into the ground beneath a foundation to raise it back up to a level position. In recent years, poly lift systems have become more popular because they are relatively cost-effective and can be performed more quickly than other methods of foundation repair such as installing cement or steel piers.
The polyurethane foam used in a poly lift system is incredibly strong; one square foot of the cured foam can support a load of more than 10,000 pounds. The foam cures within minutes of being injected and turns completely solid. Because this substance is inert, it is impervious to water infiltration and will not react with other chemicals. It is also strong enough to resist erosion and rodent or insect infestation. While a poly lift system is considered a permanent method of foundation repair, there are rare instances in which a foundation that has received a poly lift may need to be repaired again. Such situations are the result of uncontrollable forces such as weather, earthquakes, and collapsing soil structures. Generally speaking, a poly lift system will provide a lasting solution to your foundation settling issues; however, the length of the warranty coverage will vary from company to company.
